JAMES corbin is plus-sized high fashion model, presenter, activist, online-blogger, television & radio producer and a writer. his youtube channel, ‘corbin captures’ has over 900,000 hits - a platform that aims to lead progressive conversations about male body image and inclusion in fashion.
it was from this platform that james was scouted for his first modelling job in vogue italia, 2020. james is now represented globally across 5 countries. some of his fashion credits include: vogue, gucci, valentino, dazed magazine, tommy hilfiger, levi’s, gq magazine, perfect magazine, id magazine, levi’s and many more.
james has a keen passion for discussing and writing on social issues and helping facilitate conversations of importance that result in change. he is currently working on a personal documentary project that delves into colourism within the uk. james is also part of the flock together collective, that opens a space for black and minority cultures to bird watch in safe spaces across the world.
james also featured in channel 4’s infamous black-to-front movement, that saw the reboot of british show, the big breakfast, which he then produced on in 2021. since then, he has been on exciting television projects such as the mandela project - that started community projects across the world, in honour of nelson mandela (available on youtube originals/bet).
