LEO altaras is a german actor and musician. he was part of the ensemble cast of the zweiflers (ard), which premiered at canneseries and went on to win the german television award for best drama series in 2024. the series was widely praised for its authenticity and its grounded, human performances.

alongside acting, leo releases music under the name alcatraz. born and raised in berlin, he emerged from the city’s underground club scene and became part of its new-wave movement early on. a longtime member of the live from earth collective, he made his panorama bar debut at 21 and has since performed at internationally renowned venues and festivals including dgtl, watergate, blitz, e1, mondo disko, prst, and amnesia ibiza.
today, alcatraz moves beyond the dj booth — combining electronic production with live vocals and high-energy performances that blur the line between club culture and pop show. his evolving sound blends electro-pop, bloghouse, and a raw, emotionally charged aesthetic he describes as eurotrash. following tours with brutalismus 3000 and appearances on mura masa’s club tour, his debut album is set for release in may 2026.
