RYAN is originally from manchester. he was born with cerebral palsy - this effects the way the brain communicates with the muscles. he uses his platform as a model to further highlight the importance of representing disabled people in a realistic way in popular culture.
ryan is an disability advocate with a mission to raise awareness of the life experiences ofdisabled people by using his voice to help others who are not able to speak up. he wants to show people and companies how we can make changes to make the world a more accessible and inclusive place for all. he recently started to offer consultancy services to brands, organisations and creatives through @alloyworldwide by drawing on his experience as a former u.k. government employee who worked to improve accessibility and inclusion in the working environment/experience for all.
ryan also wants to continue his work on men´s mental health by sharing what he has overcome. being part of the lgbt community for example, does not mean he is any less of a man - a true man is empathetic and approachable. in 2021 ryan launched therightfootforward.com (@therightfootforward on instagram) - a platform to create conversations and build confidence in talking about disabilities. alongside this he has started the right foot forward podcast to share experiences through informative conversations with his guests.
